Logos Bible Software

I find bible hub to be an invaluable resource. I am thinking about using Logos for my upcoming thesis work.
My sense is that Logos is more in depth and appropriate for thesis work, Bible Hub is free and geared towards the layman, which is all I need. I have come to know Bible Hub and other related resources, such as https://www.gotquestions.org/ to be doctrinely solid and balanced.

I am curious as to what Logos offers that other Bible software doesn't. I use E-sword which has just about every commentary one would need as well as tons of independent modules that can be downloaded. I don't use Windows but E-sword runs perfectly well under Linux. If I had been using Logos and found out what they are promoting it would be a short time before it was deleted. Why not use software that is put out by a Christian organization?

How is this even possible? They are selling hundreds of x-rated explicit books. I'll stick with E-sword.

More likely, they got hit by some kind of exploit that bypasses whatever filters they have in place.

I once spent three hours deleting explicit porn spam from this forum. Anyone coming on the site during that time also wouldn't have had a favourable impression on us. I did my best. Let Logos solve their problem without assuming the worst.

I didn't realize that.

I do not have it as of yet but the main thing that Logos has is access to a huge library of commentaries and other resources. There are several steps going from a couple hundred to several thousands of dollars. If all you want is a bible program, you have plenty available that you do not even have to pay for. They stopped supporting Theopholis but it is still a great program which I have used for the last 20 or so years.

I use both even for research papers even though I feel bad when I am not citing something a little more "scholarly" hence the reason I will be going over to Logos to remedy this. There is only one theological library that I have access to but it is on the other side of town. The Gospel Coalition is another good resource even though there are contributors who seem a little questionable.
